I am so sorry to learn of Jan's passing. We were Brownies and Girl Scouts together, and worked at the BOCES together; and I am happy to say that Jan reflected her beautiful Mother every day, as I do not remember a single time I saw her without a smile on her face.
The world and especially Goshen are a bit less sunny today as Jan has gone home. My sincere condolences to her brothers and sisters, she will be in my prayers and may she Rest in Peace.

My deepest condolences to the Ptak family, Jan spoke of you often and with love. Jan knew how to live life to the fullest and enjoyed telling us about her grandchildren. She radiated goodwill and was kind and thoughtful to others. She nurtured and cultivated all living things – it was just the way she was.
Dear Jan……. Thank you for sharing your irrepressible optimism, generous spirit and love of life with us – marathons run, relays for life and fundraisers to help others – And, you were kind enough to sew a weighted lap pad for someone in need of calming, with just the right amount of sand (because you had taken the time to try different amounts)……. but these are just a few of the wonderful things you did to inspire and help others at our OUBOCES community. You were and still are an amazing person.

I am so sad to hear of Jan's passing. What a lovely lady she was. Several months ago she updated me on her children and grandchildren when we ran into one another at JOANN Fabrics and Crafts in Middletown. She loved her family greatly. John and I would like to express our deepest sympathy to all. RIP Jan.

I will remember Jan forever. I will remember her for the love she had for her family, her love of her church, her dedication for so many years to the Altar Guild. She taught my children in Sunday School and they remember her with love. But most of all, I will remember her love of life, her kindness, her compassion and how much joy her children and grand-children gave her. Our last conversation was all about her two newest grandbabies. She was so happy! I will miss her!

My most heartfelt condolences to Jan's very large, very loving family. She spoke of you often and with such love. She was most proud of the grandchildren and the joy they brought her. Her energy and care for her students will be sorely missed and there will be a huge hole in our BOCES community without her.

To Janice's family and friends, please accept my heartfelt condolences on your loss. It is so challenging to lose some you love so much. What has helped me cope with death is knowing that soon it will be a thing of the past. Revelation 21:4 says “He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” I hope that gives you comfort like it has for me.
