Obituary for Thomas Finnerty Thomas Finnerty of Chester, New York went home to be with the Lord on November 21, 2019. He was 75 years old. Son of Jane McCready Finnerty and John Finnerty, of Manhattan, New York. He is a retired New York City Police Officer, and a retired Federal Police Officer. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Officers, an avid outdoorsman, fisherman and hunter.Also, a member of the Monroe Rod and Gun Club, and a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ruth Finnerty and his 4sons, T.J., Tracy, Ed, Scott, and his daughter Terry. He has 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild. Visitation Hours: Sunday, November 24, 2019 from 1:30-3:30pm with a service from 3:30-4:00pm at Donavan's Funeral Home at 82 South Church Street Goshen, NY 10924. (845) 294-6422.
