Obituary of Pasquale Vizzari

PASQUALE VIZZARI MIDDLETOWN, NEW YORK Pasquale Vizzari, 85, of Middletown, NY died Monday, November 30, 2009 at Elant Nursing & Rehab Center in Goshen, NY. Pasquale was born July 22, 1924 in New York, NY, the son of the late Anthony and the late Anne Marie Vizzari. He was predeceased by his wife, Frances (Caruso) their daughter, Mary Ann, his brother Salvatore Vizzari and his sister, Arlene Vizzari. Pasquale, Pappy to his friends, served in the United States Army in the Pacific during World War II. He served with honor and was wounded three times. He saw such heavy action that during the battle of Guadalcanal his unit was reported missing in action for two weeks. Upon returning home he joined the family members in the roofing business. He is survived by his two brothers and their wives; Anthony P. and Marion Vizzari of Hamilton, New Jersey, Joseph and Susanna Vizzari of Bayonet Point, Florida, and Salvatore's' wife, Anita Vizzari of Clearwater, Florida, his son Anthony and his wife, Joan Vizzari of Middletown, NY, and his grandchildren and their spouses, James Vizzari, Tiffany Vizzari, Joseph and his wife, Susan Vizzari, Jenna and Joshua Potter and ten great grand children, Brittany, Brianna, Marcello, James Michael, Anastasia, Anthony, Vincent Vizzari ,Kaitlyn, Shelby, and Luke Potter. Visitation will be Thursday, December 3, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church St., Goshen, NY.
