LIANA MARIANI GOSHEN, NEW YORK Liana Mariani, 76, of Goshen, NY passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Elant of Goshen in Goshen, NY. Liana was born January 25, 1933 in Ripi, Italy, the daughter of Giulio Bernardi and Nicolina Zeppieri Bernard. Liana emigrated from Italy in 1945 during World War II. She was a seamstress in the garment industry for 30 years. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Rooney and husband Raymond of Goshen; sister, Filomena Conciatori; 5 grandchildren, Lisa, Megan and Kevin Rooney, Vincent and Nicholas Mariani and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Carlo, son, Vincent; and sister, Pasqualina Guglielmi. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 29, 2009 from 4-8 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church St., Goshen. The Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at 10:30 am at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Avenue, Goshen. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
