Obituary of Mildred Mary Heine

Longtime Riverdale resident Mildred "Millie" Heine (Schuler) lovingly known as Nan, passed away comfortably at Wingate Nursing home in Beacon NY on July 12, 2021. She was born in Frackville, PA on Dec 2, 1930 and later moved to Yonkers NY. It was there she met her husband Eugene Anthony Heine and was married on Sept 7 1947. He predeceased her in June 1992. She is also predeceased by her sister Theresa Behrens of Greenpoint, Brooklyn and Yonkers. Millie is the beloved mother to Carolyn Jean Totillo and her husband David of Wappingers Falls NY, and Maurene Heine Pepe and her husband Tony of Campbell Hall NY. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jennifer Italiano and her spouse Mark, Christopher Byron and his spouse Shelby, and Andrea, Luca and Alessandro Pepe as well as 3 great grandchildren Chloe and Colton Byron and Joseph Italiano. She was also adopted mom and Nan to Georgeann and Meghan Gonoude of Riverdale. Services will be private and arranged by Donovan Funeral Home in Goshen. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint John the Evangelist Church, Goshen NY on Wednesday July 14th at 10am. Burial immediately following at Saint Mary's Cemetery in Yonkers NY. In Lieu of flowers and in thanks for the wonderful care that Millie received in her last few months of her life donations can be made in her honor to Maurene Pepe for Wingate Beacon Orange Unit Staff PO Box 6, Campbell Hall NY.
