Virginia H. Gillespie, 87, of Goshen, NY passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2010 at Valley View Center for Nursing Care & Rehab in Goshen, NY. Virginia was born November 17, 1922 in Florida, NY, the daughter of the late Robert and the late Cora (Branning) Hunt. She was the widow of Roy C. Gillespie. Virginia was a Secretary in the Probation Department for the Orange County Government, Goshen, NY. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Robert F. Hunt, Jr. of Goshen, Patricia Murray of Huntsville, AL, Thomas A. Hunt of Goshen, Jeffery P. Hunt of Florida, NY and Susan Romer of Crossville, TN; 3 great nieces and great nephews, Patricia Holmes of Huntsville, AL, Gerald Murray of Huntsville, AL and Amie Beth Morran of Goshen; great great niece, Cora Beth Morran of Goshen; great great nephew, Brenan Thomas Morran of Goshen; and her sister-in-law, Gladys Hunt of Crossville, TN. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, Roy C. Gillespie and brothers, Robert F. Hunt, Sr. and Harold Hunt. There will be no visitation. The Funeral Service will be Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 10:00 am at St. James Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Slate Hill Cemetery, Goshen, NY at a later date.
