Clara Jean Wolven of Matamoras, PA (Formerly of Cuddebackville NY) passed away on Sunday September 5th, 2021 at St Joseph's Place in Port Jervis, NY. She was 70 years old. Clara was the youngest of 5 children born on November 13, 1950 in Goshen NY to the late John and Rita Olszewski. In 1970 she married Edwin Wolven. Ed and Clara shared 48 years together until his passing on March 6, 2019. Clara will always be remembered most for her caring spirit ,her love for family and friends, and her pride in being a homemaker, a doting wife and mother. Back in her days in Cuddebackville she relished in the joy of being a daycare provider to her grandchildren and many of the neighborhood children. All whom lovingly referred to her as "Clairie". Those days brought her so many cherished memories. Clara is survived by her daughter Deanie Roeder and her husband Jason Roeder of Matamoras, her son Jason Wolven of Matamoras, her granddaughter Baylee Roeder of Danville PA, her grandson Jason Roeder Jr. and his fiancé Sarah Egan of Matamoras, great granddaughters Olivia and Avery Roeder, her sister Geri Henderson of Goshen NY, and sister Martha Norton of Norfolk VA, brother Albert Olszewski of Jacksonville Fl, brother and sister-in-law John and Barbara Olszewski of Warwick NY, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Darlene and Curt Baron of Summerfield Fl, and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her beloved brothers-in- law William Henderson and Hershel Norton. Visitation will be Friday, September 10 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:30 P.M. at Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. The Funeral Service will be held 4:30 pm on Friday, September 10, 2021 at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. The family would like to thank the entire nursing and support staff at St. Joseph's Place and Bon Secours Community Hospital for the loving and compassionate care given during her time there.
