How lucky are we to have called Amy both friend and neighbor. She was an every shining presence in our lives & we are grateful she invited us into her orbit 40 yrs ago. We shall always remember our dinners together, be they the annual St Patrick’s Day & New Years Eve get togethers, or the “omg we bought a big roast so you & Leroy have to come to help us eat it” dinners. I shall miss our chats & laughs ( oh those many one liners of yours!) at our kitchen tables, on our decks or recently by phone. I shall miss your guidance on parenthood ( will never NOT think of you when I see car keys on a hook; neither will T- lol), dress fittings, button box raids & sewing projects, and “stuff on life” in general. Tom shall miss the fun calls for tech support. The classiest “cameo” has joined the other “white shoes”(I hope your kids find that story & enjoy it as we did). Rest In Peace dear friend- you will never be forgotten. All our love. Liz & Tom
Special thanks to Amy’s kids (especially Jim) A&L would be proud of you.

33 years ago Amy came into our lives, and remains fixed in our hearts. Those privileged to know her, knew well her quick wit, and intelligence. Amy may have learned about vision care from us, but we learned so much more from her.
A retired teacher (teachers never really retire) Amy trained others that joined our staff through the years, managed our office, and when warranted helped our kids with their homework. She was a friend, coworker, and mentor to us all.
Since opening in 1984, we have moved our office, twice, Amy worked side by side with us until the last boxes were carted off to the new location, and unpacked, never missing a beat.
Throughout our 33 year history she retired on 2 occasions. Her retirement was temporary as we like to think she missed us almost as much as we missed her.
She was never one to miss the irony in a situation. For example, when we would receive an insurance check issued for $0.01, we would hear, "Oh for heaven's sake" in an exasperated tone. "Do you realize it cost more to issue the check than the check is worth!"
Amy we will never forget your friendship and your many contributions to our lives and this office.
Sincerest condolences to her family and friends who mourn the loss of this great lady.
Oh for heaven's sake Amy, you are missed

Jim, Carri, Cathy, Kim & Julie - Jack & I extend our deepest sympathy to all of you and your families. Your Mom was one of a kind! What a special lady! We have many happy memories of hearing your Mom, Betty Lou and Joy and all talking about their great trips to Cape Cod together. And oh….. the summers spent by the pool and the stories they would share. Sending you all big hugs!

To Jimmy, Carri, Cathi, Kim, and Julie we extend our deepest sympathy for the loss of your mother. She was a friend and a wonderful neighbor to us for over 50 years and we will miss her! We are sure your mom will have a new job now teaching all the children in Heaven as we all know how she loved to instill knowledge in others!
