Obituary of Maria Scotto

Maria Scotto of Palm Bay, FL formerly of Goshen, NY was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She entered into rest Monday, October 18, 2021 at age 97. Maria was born November 6, 1923 in Italy. She was predeceased by her parents Francesco and Teresa, and her brothers Antonio and Gennaro. Her unwavering love for her family was her strongest testimony to a life lived nurturing others. Maria will remain the heart of her family and inspire them to be kind, strong, and giving to the end of their days. She left them but did not leave them alone; she left them together as a loving family and will be remembered always. She leaves behind Michele, her beloved husband of 67 years; children and their spouses, Elvira Scotto-Padavano and Ronald Padavano, Theresa Scotto McAteer and Todd McAteer, Anthony Scotto and Kelly Scotto; and her grandchildren. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 healthcare crisis the family is requesting that everyone attending the services please wear masks. Visitation will be Monday, October 25 from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. A Mass of Christian burial to Celebrate her life will be held 10:00 am on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at St John The Evangelist RC Church, 71 Murray Avenue, Goshen, NY.
