I just learned that Sean passed and I am so very sorry to hear this. Though we hadn’t seen each other in many years, I have always remembered Sean for his friendliness and sense of humor. I was always amazed that wherever we went, Sean would run into someone he knew. Even one time as we paid the toll at Harriman. It’s a testament to the affable person he was that Sean had friends everywhere. Sean was always up for an adventure, and I fondly remember the memories we made in high school. I send my condolences to all of Sean’s loved ones, especially the Barry family who I have long remembered for their warmth and kindness. Rest in peace, Sean. You will be missed.

When death comes like the hungry bear in autumn; when death comes and takes all the bright coins from his purse to buy me, and snaps the purse shut; when death comes like the measle-pox; when death comes like an iceberg between the shoulder blades, I want to step through the door full of curiosity, wondering: what is it going to be like, that cottage of darkness? News of Sean’s passing reached me quickly all the way here in Cyprus, which is a testament to the fact that his passing caused not just ripples but waves through the world. I’m so sorry for Sean and his family, a truly good family who took care of me and mine when my father passed and I wish I could return the favor. Sean will be missed.

Sean was such a special soul and this world is truly a little less bright for having lost his physical form. However I hope his family and all who knew and loved him can take comfort in the fact that he is at peace now, and his spirit is eternally with us, watching over us until we meet again. Sean, I will miss you every day for the rest of my days. My big teddy bear, now another of my special guardian angels, rest in the sweetest peace.

I’m so sad to hear this. I only knew Sean for about a year when we worked together at Target around 2002. Even though I only knew him a short amount of time I thought about him. Just a super cool dude. Funny as hell. Gone way too soon but a life well lived if someone that only knew you a short amount of time remembers you for a lifetime. Rest easy, Sean.

Sean was the first person to introduce himself when we were freshman in Delhi. He was friendly and fun. We built our own little crew in Delhi and were all fast friends! He always tried to make people smile and always succeeded at it! And even though we haven’t seen I. Eachother in a very long time, I never forget him! Condolences to his family
