Obituary of Olivia Smith

Olivia Smith, age 95, passed away on April 21, 2022 in Orange County, NY. Born October 3, 1926 in Manhattan, NY, to Frances and Antionio Cardone, she had formally resided in Wading River, NY. Olivia always said ballet was her first love so after graduating high school at 16 yrs. old, she became a member of the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo touring the United States and Canada and after that she went on to join the NYC Center Opera Ballet and then Radio City Music Hall Ballet. Olivia also worked at the Emma S. Clark Library in Setauket, NY as Supervisor of the Circulation Dept. from which she retired after 25 years. She is predeceased by her husband, Maurice S. Smith and her son, Gary M. Smith. Surviving are her son, Timothy Smith and his wife, Carol of Palm Coast, FL and her daughter, Wendy Sellars of Campbell Hall, NY; 6 grandchildren (Jennifer Sullivan (Sean), Colin Smith (Laura), Catherine Guzman, William Sellars, Pamela Smith (Jesse), and Laura Santonocito (Anthony); and 8 great grandchildren Kenley, Bryce, Cole, Devin, Vinicio, Jason, Abby and Anthony. Memorial service and interment will take place privately. Arrangements under the care of the Donovan Funeral Home in Goshen, NY.
