Q: What will you never forget about David?
A: I’ll never forget David period! Nothing but great memories, unfortunately the first thing that comes to mind is holding his hand and talking to him when he was in a coma a few years back. I was telling him how growing up at “The White House” was so great! And how annoying it must have been with me non stop driving my moms 1972 pinto around the parking lot when I was 14. That’s how I learned to drive. I asked him several times to squeeze my hand if he heard me and every time he squeezed it! He had no memory of that but I sure do! Gonna miss my Cuz, our long chats on the phone, and shooting the breeze at quick check..“OKAY” ( some will get that one) okay . RIP CUZ

First, my condolences to David’s family. I’m so sorry for your loss. Bob, Steve, and Margo my thoughts are with you, as well as David’s wife and children. I’m sorry I didn’t get to know all of you. The news of David’s passing has saddened me also.
David was a great friend and mentor. We were friends through school, but beyond that we spent many hours working together on many projects. I was fortunate to be able to help Dave and learn from him, as well as benefit from his help with my projects. Growing up at his Dads car recycling business brought him and I hours of fun with old cars. We had many, many laughs and I will never forget all the fun stuff we did as immature teenagers. Some of the stuff he came up with still makes me laugh. What a creative mind he had. I learned so much from Dave, he was a wealth of mechanical knowledge.
Dave was a friend who would do anything for you. He would drop what he was doing to help you and teach you how to figure it out on your own. Unfortunately I moved from the area and lost contact with Dave. It was on my bucket list to reconnect with him, and I’m saddened I missed my opportunity.
I hope that everyone in David’s family finds a way to cope with his loss. Enjoy the good memories of your times together. I know I will.

Remembering my little cousin Dave who as a child emulated his Daddy Charlie who loved to work with large vehicles of all kinds. I remember visiting them at their garage which had various kinds of dump trucks, bulldozers, tracker trailers and other large excavating equipment. They both enjoyed working and repairing vehicles of all kinds. If the vehicle had a problem, they were determined to solve it.
Dave grew up into being a master mechanic who could fix anything that he put his mind to. He was gifted with problem solving mechanical issues that no one else could solve -a true mechanical genius.
Dave was a kind and gentle man who would always lend a helping hand when needed. When I needed help repairing some old tractors on the farm, he was right there offering some knowledgeable advice which was well taken and much appreciated.
He loved his family greatly and was a friend to all who knew him. Dave often spoke lovingly of his daughters and expressed that he wished he could spend more time with his grandson.
It was with great sadness and a loss to all who knew him, when I learned of his demise. He was a good, kind, knowledgeable, loving man who will be missed.
Sending my sincere condolences to Wynn, Sarah, Krista and all of his family.
May Peace Be with You All,
Cindy White McVey

My Heart is Broken Baby Brother. One genius level mechanic that worked as hard as our Dad! Thank you for the time we got to spend in Fort Myers Florida and for teaching me how to ride my Harley. Honored to be your Sister.
We were more than brother and sister we were friends!
Thank you for forcing me to look at that 1982 Silver-Green Corvette in Cape Coral ,Florida, it turned out to be one great vehicle. Until we met again!
Love Sissy

Our sincere condolences to Wynn and the girls. Dave always spoke so proudly of his family. So many memories from being neighbors in our childhood to meeting again at the Johnson farm years later. Dave could fix anything he put his mind too. Keep all the good memories alive. They were the best neighbors to us growing up. To Bob ,Margo , Steve & their families, I know how hard it is to lose a sibling. Just remember the good times.
God Bless,
George & Marge ( Raymond )Wood

I'm so saddened for your loss of Davey - he was such a good friend to Tommy (I'll bet they're up there together having a wonderful time). I was so grateful for all of his advice after Tom passed and for him checking in every so often. He was one of the good guys in this lifetime. All my sympathy to his family and loved ones.
With sincere condolences - Carol Krull Morgan
