Margaret Gansl Benedict December 5, 1910 - March 23, 2010 Margaret Gansl Benedict, age 99, of Goshen, passed away, Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Elant at Goshen in Goshen, NY. Margaret was born December 5, 1910 in Middletown, NY, the daughter of Max and Martha Gansl. She was the widow of Francis E. Benedict. Margaret retired as legal secretary in Middletown for Royce, Taylor & Shaw, she was Vice-President of W.F. Benedict and Son Memorials until her retirement and she was a former member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Middletown. Margaret is survived by her sons, Robert J. Benedict and wife Colleen of Otisville, and Dr. William F. Benedict and wife Maureen of Houston, TX; grandchildren, David W. Benedict, Kristina Benedict and William B. Benedict. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Francis E. Benedict and sisters, Anna Simo, Mary Mahoney and Edith Grace. The family would like to wish a special thanks to the exceptional care and love shown by the staff of PAFF 3 at Elant at Goshen, NY. The quality and quantity of sincere caring will never be forgotten. Cremation will be private. Burial will take place in the family plot at Hillside Cemetery, Middletown, NY at a later date. Donations may be made in Margaret's memory to St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 58 West Main Street, Middletown, NY or Elant at Goshen, Inc., Harriman Drive, Goshen, NY 10924.
