Obituary of Eleanora Pepe

Eleanora Pepe passed away peacefully at home in Campbell Hall, NY on May 22, 2023 at 103 yrs old.  

She was born January 26, 1920 in Auletta, Italy to Rosa and Donato Presutto.    It was in Auletta, she met and married her husband Donato Pepe in 1950.  In December 1968 they immigrated to the United States with their children and made a home in Ozone Park Queens.   Later in 1990, they built a home in Hampton Bays, NY where 13 wonderful years were spent before moving to Campbell hall in 2003.   There was nothing more important to Eleanora then her family.  She enjoyed the simple things in life like reading, gardening, sewing, and cooking for everyone especially her homemade pasta, pizza and biscotti.     In 2009,  she was predeceased by her husband.   

She is survived by her children, Vincenzo and his partner Susie of Hampton Bays, NY, her son Antonio and his wife Maurene of Campbell Hall,  and her daughter Angela Kosinkski and her husband Kevin who both lovingly cared for her as she aged.   In addition she has 6 grandchildren Cindy Realmuto and her husband Joseph of East Hampton NY,  Nicholas Kosinski and his wife Gabriella of Walden, NY,  William Kosinski and his fiancé Miranda of Washingtonville, NY,  and Andrea, Luca and Alessandro Pepe of Campbell Hall as well as 2 great grandchildren Jonathan and Nicole Realmuto of Boulder CO.    

Services are being handled by Donovan Funeral Home in Goshen, NY.  Viewing will be private.   

A Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church in Goshen at 10am Friday May 26th.  Burial will be in St. Johns Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in her name be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan counties.
