Obituary of John L. Rudy

John Lambert Rudy, 86, of Middletown, NY entered into rest on Sunday, August 6, 2023, at home in Middletown. 

Lambert was born June 21, 1937, in Goshen, NY, the son of John and Louise Rudy. 

He was the owner of Lambert Landscape Maintenance.  Lambert was a kind, honest man who loved to joke.  He loved John Deere and had both a toy tractor collection and a bucksaw collection.  After he retired from landscaping, he was head custodian at Harmony Baptist Church and School.  He enjoyed traveling and especially loved trips on the American Queen Paddlewheel with his wife.  He was a loving husband and father and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  We will miss him greatly.  

He is survived by his wife Jean at home; a son, Hans Rudy and wife Angela of Westbrookville, NY; a daughter, Wendy Rudy-Jones and husband John Jones of Wallkill, NY; 12 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 10 from 3 to 7 P.M. at Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY.

The Funeral Service to Celebrate his life will be held 11:00 am on Friday, August 11, 2023, at Harmony Baptist Church,1790 Rt. 211 E., Middletown, NY with Pastor Dennis Ashley officiating. 

Burial will follow in Warwick Cemetery, Warwick, NY.
