Tara and family, I am so sorry to hear of Jimmys passing. I just found out 3 days ago and was flabbergasted. Jimmy and I worked together at Camp LaGuardia and then he hired my son Michael to work at Primo. Again prayers for entire family. Also they go out to Mike Akin and his family

Jim was more than a coach to my son, as Connor says he was like a 2nd dad. Coaching Connor from an early age, through all the championships across many teams, I remember starting from MW Soccer, to Primo and to Cedar Stars. Winning countless champions at all different levels. The high light coming when many of the MW high school soccer team of 2018 played the perfect game and winning the state championship. Even though Jim wasn't the High School coach, everyone knew Jim was the really reason they had this success. For my son Connor attaining the All American Title in 2018 was the pinnacle of his soccer career, this is all due to the crazy relentless dedication of Jim to the beautiful game of soccer and the exceptional coaching to each and everyone of his soccer players. Thanks for all that you did for the beautiful game of soccer. Rest in Peace Coach Jim.

Joon, Sharon, Kevin, Connor, and Ciaran

Jim coached our son from an early start of his soccer career. He was for sure passionate & the most intense coach we have ever known. Always there to promote, encourage and provide opportunities to everyone that worked hard. For us was a great privilege to be part of PRIMO FC and enjoy the time under his leadership and support. His contributions, guidance & development of orange county soccer were enormous. I am forever grateful to have known Jim and his family.
You will be missed greatly and our deepest condolences to the entire Lagarde Family

Our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and all those who loved Jim. It's no surprise Jim's reach was far and had a positive impact on many lives.
His passion for the beautiful game of soccer and love for his family was palpable.
A person like Jim does not go unnoticed, unappreciated or forgotten. He lives on in all the lives he touched, all the memories he shared, and all the lessons he taught.
It's never fair to lose a loved one, and it always feels "too soon," but with the time he had he truly lived life to fullest and made the world a much better place.
You will be missed Jim, but never ever forgotten.

Jimmy,
When we met we did not hit it off at all. But my son loved your passion for a game I never played. Shortly after we became great friends and for over 10+ years we were very close. I will always remember what you did for my 3 kids and the great times we had. My thoughts are to Tara, Colin, Zemi , Trevor and Madison. As stated, this was not how the end should be. See you on the other side. B loves you!

Coach Jim is a huge reason why I am currently living out my dream of playing college soccer at UConn. As an 11 year old kid, I started going to his Saturday morning training sessions at Primo Sports and from there he welcomed me with open arms, let me train with his boys team, and cared a lot about helping me develop as a player so I could achieve my goals. He introduced me to people that I am forever grateful to have met. He had an immense amount of passion for soccer and cared a lot about all his players, which you could see in every training session that he ran. I am so grateful that I started going to Primo Sports all those years ago and met Coach Jim. He will always be an integral part of my soccer journey.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family - I am so sorry for your loss.

I worked with Jimmy’s father for many years at Mental Health Association in Orange County, Inc. Therefore, I had the privilege of meeting Jimmy, his mother Carol and the entire family. Jimmy inherited his parents’ deep commitment to family and community service. He was invariably kind, loving, and supportive of his family, friends, and all the players he came in contact with. His untimely death is nothing short of tragic. My heart goes out to his wife, mother, kids, and entire family. His legacy will continue to live on through all of you. I’m sending you my deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers, that time and positive memories will help you navigate through this painful time. Warmly, Nadia Allen

About 10 years ago I walked into primo sports a young girl with a passion for the game and big dreams of where it could take me. Jim welcomed me with open arms and devoted so much of his time to truly help me develop as a player and person. His love for the game and helping players grow radiated through his work. As a player, he never let me doubt my abilities and supported me wholeheartedly. Now, a decade later, I am living out my dream of playing professional soccer, a reality that I know was made possible because I walked through the doors of primo sports and met Jim. The days spent on those fields were some of the most influential moments of my career.
I am forever grateful to have known Jim.
To Tara, Colin, Trevor, Madison and Zemi - my heart is with you all. I am deeply sorry for your loss and sending prayers your way.

Jim coached me for the majority of my soccer career. He was the hardest, most intense coach I’ve ever had but that was a privilege. A decade later I look back on training sessions and away tournaments and believe he was the epitome of what a coach should be. He was the coach we needed. His thirst for improvement within me instilled such a sense of work ethic that, without it, I wouldn’t be the man I am today. His contribution to my development not only as an athlete but as a successful adult and father I’m sure are shared with my teammates. From endless training sessions to two trips to Sweden, my experiences with Jim will always remain as some of the brightest throughout my soccer journey.
Rest In Peace Coach.

There are no words to even begin to imagine how Jimmy's wife, children, and loving family are feeling right now. This is a hard one for anyone that knew him.
I'd love to share a very special, kind, giving, and thoughtful memory......
I was going through some very difficult times in my life when my husband fell into a coma for 8 months. Jimmy knew my 2 boys LOVED, BREATHED, AND WORSHIPED SOCCER. He (and his wife) took Devin onto one of his teams. And trained him while his father was away. (Devin's dad was his soccer coach in a local village.) He (and his wife) took Logan in on weeknights to practice soccer, or join an open gym game, or tournament during the time his father was in a coma. They also gave Logan a job! Not only did they take my boys and help them through a very difficult time, they never even wanted a thank you. Jimmy would take the time during his "spare time," at the cornfields, to always ask how I and my kids were doing.
Jimmy ABSOLUTELY EMBODDIED the game of soccer in every way. He (and his wife) gave 2 adolescent boys that loved the same sport a place to go to when they (and I) needed it most.
My sincere condolences to his wife, children, Carol, Tara, Renee, Christopher, all his nieces, nephews, and to all who loved Jimmy. Rest with pops. ❤️

Jim coached my two brothers for more than 10 years. Not only did he play a pivotal role in their childhood but mine as well. Even though I was not a player he always made it known we were all a family. Jim's energy and passion for the game made it easy to love soccer. He cared about his players both on and off the field. Thank you Jim for always supporting and protecting your players and their families.

I first met you in Chester - prior to any soccer affiliation. We became fast friends and soccer only helped to grow our friendship. You were always willing to provide guidance and support to my children in the soccer arena. Including running drills and providing training for my son while we sat in Primo during my daughter’s practices. Your dedication to the sport and the folks you mentored did not go unnoticed or unappreciated. You’ve left an indelible mark on all the lives you’ve touched. God speed.
