Caroline Van Der Heide Goshen, New York Caroline Van Der Heide, 80, of Goshen, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, May 11, 2010. Caroline was born February 14, 1930 in Offenbach, Germany, the daughter of Phillip and Gertrude (Roggendorff) Mathay. . She is survived by her husband, Fred Van Der Heide at home; her children, Gertrude Parks and significant other Stewart DeGroat, Jr. of Middletown, Anna Caroline Brown of Goshen, and Martin Fred Van Der Heide and wife Virginia "Ginny" of Slate Hill, NY; 7 grandchildren, Norman and Heather Parks, Keith, Brian and Michelle Ann Brown and Jessica and Jonathan Van Der Heide. Visitation will be Friday, May 14, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church Street, Goshen. Viewing will be at the Goshen Christian Reformed Church, 17A, Goshen, NY Saturday, May 15 from 8:30 to 9:15 am with the Funeral Service at 9:30 am in the Church, with Pastor Stan Sturing officiating. Burial will follow in Orange County Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Goshen, NY. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Goshen Christian School, 2440 State Rt. 17A, Goshen, NY 10924.
