Sylvester Zeffiro Middletown, New York Sylvester Zeffiro, 88, of Middletown, NY died Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Orange Regional Medical Center-Horton Campus, Middletown, NY. Sylvester was born January 1, 1922 in Italy, the son of the late Archilles and the late Gilda (DeRosa) Zeffiro. He was the husband of Joan Hamilton. Sylvester served in the Army during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Joan Zeffiro at home; his seven children, Sylvester Zeffiro, Jr., Gilda Asher, James Zeffiro, Eleanor Zeffiro, Joan Simon, Sandra Zaino and Thomas J. Zeffiro; brother, Reno Zeffiro; sisters, Mary Blauvelt and Theresa Zeffiro; 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren Visitation will be Tuesday, June 1, 2010 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church Street, Goshen. The funeral Mass will be Wednesday, June 2 at 10:00 am at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Ave., Goshen. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Middletown, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Sylvester's name to the Goshen Humane Society, P.O.
