Your Dad was the finest man I knew. He always talked about his kids and loved you all so much. I was blessed to call him my friend.

Nick was the epitome of a great Christian. His faith lit him up like a beacon in the fog. He was always there for me when I needed him. I learned too late to attend his services and seeing his picture devastates me. I know you are with Jesus, hopefully I'll see you again, not sure I'll make the cut. You were the best and still are the best.

We just returned from Goshen to attend Nick’s Celebration of Life and we are so impressed with the amazing Memorial Service and luncheon that Nick’s children planned to honor their dad. All four children were so engaging, even during their time of grief. Clearly, they worked together to plan a service to honor their dad and select the best pictures to share Nick’s passion for his grandchildren and his pets.
The Vreeburg family immigrated from Holland: Anna Van Hage was Nick Van Hage Sr. sister. Nick picked up my mom, dad and my two oldest sisters, Ineke and Elly Vreeburg from the ship that they took from Holland. I was born the same year as Nick – 1954. Margie and her siblings loved to visit our cousins- Nick and Will. We spent summers together when we were kids and we loved visiting the Van Hage farm to feed the calves and milk the cows.
We wish you all the best as you navigate the joy of knowing that Nick is in heaven and the pain of missing him on earth. Sending the Van Hage family our condolences!
Love, Joe Vreeburg and Margo Vreeburg Izzo!

I just found out of Nick’s tragic passing. I am sincerely sorry to hear of your loss. I knew his parents well and Nick as he would occasionally help his Father. Nick’s smile was a genuine greeting. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time. Sincere Sympathy, Priscilla Gersbeck

My heartfelt and deepest condolences to all of you, Nick's dear beloved family. I am so sorry for your great loss.
So many others of us here share in it, having lost our dear friend. How many lives he touched.
Nick lived his faith with love and joy-his ever ready smile, hug, always ready to serve or to help, humble and dependable. He shared in word and deed about Jesus and the Gospel of salvation - that by turning to Jesus, believing and repenting n Him and giving your life to Him you would be forgiven of your sins and have eternal life with Him. Nick was born again and knew Jesus as his Lord and Savior and Friend. He is in heaven with Jesus now because he believed in what Jesus had done-taking our sin on the cross and making a Way for us to be righteous in Him, and rising from the dead. I pray for anyone who does not yet know Him to believe and to be born in Him. Nick abided with Jesus, and the joy and love we all saw in Nick's life flowed through him from the Holy Spirit shining his love and light.
Lord,I pray we all would live lives that shine Your love so brightly and kindly that we also would have such a legacy and be known for You and Your love, and for care we give to others. That as we remember and honor Nick, we would follow his exmple as he followed You, and glorify You always- as he did here and as he now does in heaven. Heal and comfort those who are grieving, Lord, and give them Your comfort and peace that goes beyond our understanding and hold each one in your everlasting arms. Amen.
It is Well With My Soul

I am so sorry to hear that Nick has passed. I worked with Nick for 40 yrs at the phone company and can share that he was a super wonderful, gentle soul. We shared a firm faith in Christ and had many conversations about our faith throughout the years. He was a light in this world to soon extinguished. Shannon Brock

Grandpa Nick was the best grandpa a little girl could’ve been Blessed with. He loved God so much, and as a little girl growing up hearing my Grandpa talk about how great the Lord was!, now as an adult I love the Lord so much. My Grandpa was taken way to soon, and my heart feels so heavy of the thought he actually passed. He was an angel, and now actually has wings❤️, my grandpa was the best man! And I will miss him dearly, I was his peewee and forever will be.
I love you grandpa, till we meet again.

Nick was such an amazing person. His heart was full of unconditional love and he shared that with everyone he knew. He was a big part of my growing up through his school. He showed me how a family man should be. I will always love and value him. This breaks my heart personally and it breaks my heart for his family. He will always be honored and loved
