In Loving Memory of Agnes Baratta
February 22, 1924 - November 13, 2024.
Agnes Baratta, age 100, of Goshen entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 13, 2024.
Agnes was born February 22, 1924 in Queens, NY. She is the daughter of the late Thomas and Anna (Palumbo) LoCurto.
She is preceded in rest by her late husband Thomas Baratta. She is survived by her daughter Diane and son-in-law Pat Higgins; her 3 granddaughters: Kelly (Mac) Todd, Kristi (Chris) Redmond, & Kayti (Peter) Scalia; and her 7 great grandchildren: Patrick, Charlotte, Gianna, Thomas, Tyler, Vienna and Peter.
Agnes was a vibrant woman who loved her family deeply. She and her husband owned a small business, "The Wallpaper Spot" on Long Island, where they lived and raised their daughter, Diane. She will be remembered for her spunky spirit, as a fabulous cook, lover of scratch-off lotto and the latest gossip. She always had on her lipstick, loved a good Martini, and was never without her tissues. She was an easy person to talk to, loved to receive a good compliment, and was a fun person to be around. Most importantly, she will be forever remembered as a beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother.
A Memorial Service will take place on Sunday, November 24, 2024 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm at Donovan Funeral Home, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY 10924.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in Agnes' name to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation (https://t2t.org/) or the Susan G Koman Foundation (https://www.komen.org/).
