Shirley M. Thompson, 58, of Middletown, NY died Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Kaplan Family Hospice Residence of Newburgh, NY. Shirley was born January 25, 1952 in Middletown, NY, the daughter of William J. Smith, Sr. and Alma M. Smith. She was employed by Shortline Bus, Middletown, NY as a Ticket Saleswoman. She is survived by her parents William and Alma Smith of Middletown; sons, Herbert Kanoff, Harry Kanoff, Burton Kanoff and Robert Kanoff all of Port Jervis; brothers, William J. Smith, Jr. of Albany, NY, Patrick J. Smith of Middletown, NY, John S. Smith of Middletown, NY, and Roger A. Smith of Lawrenceville, NY; sisters, Joan M. Smith of Middletown and Roxanne Bridges of Goshen; 16 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Saturday, July 17, 2010 from 9:30 to 11:30 am at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church Street, Goshen, with the funeral service in the funeral home at 11:00 am Burial will be in Wallkill Cemetery, Middletown on Saturday, July 17 at 11:45 am. Special thanks to "Steel Talons MC." In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Ct., Newburgh, NY 12550.
