Steve and the Imbarrato family - sorry I couldn't make your Mom's services - I had the pleasure of working with her at Foley Realty. She was the sweetest spitfire I ever met. I never recall seeing her without a smile. I particularly love - and often retell - the story of how her Irish family was appalled when she announed she would marry your Dad, and they brought her uncle, the Bishop, over from Ireland to talk some sense into her and avoid the "guinea". She shut him up with nine precision guided words: "Your boss is a guinea and I'm marrying Mario." Beautiful.
Steve, I really wish I could have seen you conduct her funeral, but I doubt I could have staved off emotion during it. She was a wonderfully unique lady who would give you the shirt off her back, but did not suffer fools gladly. I will never forget her, and will retell that tale about her as long as this half-breed Irishman can continue to tell a great story.
Steve, if you get a chance, please forward your email.
Thanks.
God bless "Betty Barrato" and all of you.
Jim Foley

Frank, Karen, Alicia, Greg, Maria....I just want to tell you how very sad I am that I never got the chance to meet Mamu. I have heard so many stories of Mamu and was so much looking forward to meeting her at the wedding. I do know that I will get this chance someday, and I know that she will be looking down on us all from Heaven. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all. I am so sorry that I was not able to make it to the service. I have you all in my heart...God Speed Mamu
