Obituary of Salvatore Ferrante

Salvatore Ferrante Newburgh, New York Salvatore Ferrante, 97, of Elant at Newburgh, previously from Goshen, NY died Friday, August 26, 2011. Salvatore was born February 22, 1914 in New York, NY, the son of Emanuel and Catherine (Costa) Ferrante. He was the widower of Margaret Menditto Ferrante. He was a retired Long Shoreman for ILA, New York, NY. He is survived by his daughter Katherine Pardo and husband Manny of Goshen; son, Emanuel Ferrante and wife Maggie of St. Charles, IL; brother, John Ferrante and wife June of Staten Island, NY; sister, Rose Dorato and husband Joseph of Manhattan, NY; grandchildren, Peter Pardo and wife Evelyn of Newburgh, Richard Pardo and wife Sheri of Westfield, NJ, Gina Wible and husband Roy of Everett, PA, Vincent Ferrante and wife Amber of Everett, PA, Lisa D'Ambrosio and Dina Pecenak of Ohio; great grandchildren, Luke, Griffin, Gabriella, Kristana, Jessica, Amanda, Abbey and John; nieces Josephine Dorato, Cathy Ann Levkulic and husband Joseph. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Elant of Newburgh for the wonderful care and compassion given to Sal. Visitation will be Monday, August 29, 2011 from 5-8 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church Street, Goshen. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, August 30, at 10:30 am at St. John's Church, Murray Avenue, Goshen. Burial will follow in Wallkill Cemetery, Middletown.
