Margaret "Peggy Henry" O'Donoghue
Goshen, New York
Margaret "Peggy Henry" O'Donoghue, 83, of Goshen passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at home.
Margaret was born December 22, 1928 in New York, N.Y., the daughter of Thomas P. Henry and Mary Creehan Henry. She was the widow of her beloved Brendan E. O'Donoghue who predeceased her September 13, 2006.
Margaret was a retired New York State Court Officer, Family Court, Supreme and County Courts, New City, NY and a member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, Middletown, NY. The Catholic Daughters Court Genevieve Walsh, St. John the Evangelist Church, Goshen, NY., and the Goshen Seniors Hooks and Needles Club, Volunteer at Valley View Nursing and Rehabilitation, Goshen, NY: She loved and lived everything Irish, and was a Champion Irish Step dancer having won the United States Title in 1945.
She is survived by her sons, Brendan T. O'Donoghue and wife Ana of West Hartford, CT, Raymond M. O'Donoghue of West Palm Beach, FL; daughter, Theresa Malm and husband Ronald of Middletown, NY; granddaughters - Kristin, Glynnis, Mallory and Alexa: Sisters-in-Law, Cathy O'Donohoe of Dublin, Ireland; Kathleen O'Donoghue of California: Brother-in-Law, Nicholas Cunningham of Dublin, Ireland numerous nieces and nephews in U.S. and Ireland.
Memorial Visitation will be Wednesday February 22 from 4:00 to 6:30 P.M. at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday February 23 at 10:00 am at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Ave, Goshen,, NY.
Burial will follow in Orange County Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Goshen.
