Joseph C. Remer Goshen, New York Joseph C. Remer, 67, of Goshen died Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY. Joe was born May 2, 1944 in Goshen, NY, the son of Joseph C. and Estelle "Bette" (Langbein) Remer. Joe retired as an Under Sheriff from the Orange County Sheriff Department, Goshen, NY. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Remer at home; sons, Joseph C. Remer III of Philadelphia, PA and Keith Remer and wife Linda of North Port, FL; daughter, Heather J. Haera and husband Chris of Valley Cottage, NY; brother, Robert Remer and wife Tammi of Seffner, FL; 2 grandchildren, Anthony and Jenni; Uncle, Edward Langbein of Campbell Hall, NY; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his uncle, Herman Langbein. Visitation will be Thursday, April 19 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM & 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. Funeral Service will be Friday, April 20 at 10:00 am in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Slate Hill Cemetery, Goshen, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joe's name to the American Cancer Society, 121 Executive Drive, New Windsor, NY 12553.
