I was saddened to hear of Bill's death.I'm not sure if you remember me, but I'm sure you do remember my Dad, Fred Stoll.I was a chubby 10 yr. old who used to go w/ Dad on Saturdays when he sold farm machinery for GorDun's.One of my favorite farm stops was the Smiley farm.I've loved horses since I was born I think, & when Dad took me to your farm & I got to see/pet those gorgeous Belgians,
I was in heaven!I remember a team of palamino Belgians who were just gorgeous, & on some kind of "farm day" Dad took my sister & I to, we were thrilled to get a ride on Bill's wagon pulled by those "gentle giants!"Dad also worked for Agway in Westtown, & I remember seeing Bill come in on occasion when I went to work w/ Dad there also. After the horses & cows, I think the pigs were another of my favorites! I loved to see the sows w/ their newborn piglets.Dad passed away this year on April 28th & sister & our families miss him so much just as we know you are mourning Bill's passing. But, I'm sure he & Bill are up there now trying to negotiate a fair price on some new piece of farm equipment!...Dad sure loved to "bargain" with his favorite customers!I think on 1 visit there, Bill also gave me a brush or comb or something I could use on my pony, which of course I was just thrilled with!My thoughts & prayers are with you all during this difficult time. Someday we'll all see them both again. God Bless You All.
