Mildred Mae Gorish Houghtaling Goshen, New York Mildred Mae Gorish Houghtaling, 92, of Goshen entered into rest on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Valley View Center for Nursing Care & Rehab, Goshen, NY. Mildred was born March 14, 1921 in Goshen, NY, the daughter of John and Blanche (Warren) Gorish. She was the widow of Charles A. Houghtaling. Mildred was a graduate of Goshen High School with a Regents diploma. Mom was the supreme homemaker, a great cook, she was well known for her apple pies and she loved working in the garden. Mildred is survived by her children, Judith A. Faurot and husband Randall of Florida, NY, David N. Houghtaling and wife Ruth of Everett, Washington and Charles A. Houghtaling of Deerfield Beach, FL; 4 grandchildren, Mary Rowland, Scott Houghtaling, Kristi Houghtaling and Jeff Houghtaling; 6 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Charles and her grandson, Eric Houghtaling. A Memorial Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at 12:00 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY, with the Service at 1:00 pm with Pastor Michael Otte. Burial will follow in the Orange County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Craigville Road, Goshen, NY.
