Goshen, New York
Marjorie C. (McDonald) Conklin, 89, of Goshen entered into rest on Monday, May 6, 2013 with her son Doug and Michelle at her side at Glen Arden Health Care Center, Goshen, NY.
Marjorie was born November 30, 1923 in Delhi, NY, the daughter of Harold F. and Estelle (Edgerton) Clark. She was the widow of Arthur J. McDonald, Sr., and Chauncey C. Conklin. She was predeceased by her longtime partner Robert Thorn; her brother, Burton F. Clark and sister, Eleanor Kerwin.
She is survived by her 3 children, Patricia A. Oblak and husband Robert of Walworth, WI, Arthur J. McDonald, Jr. and wife Mary of East Greenwich, RI and Douglas H. McDonald and wife Michelle of Port Jervis, NY; 5 grandchildren, Amy Oblak, Arthur James McDonald III and wife Wendy, Shawn McDonald and wife Colleen, Terrance Oblack and wife Shada and Ryan McDonald and wife Allison; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Marge was a wonderful daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, niece, aunt, and friend to all. She brought all her energy and drive into everything she did, cultivating friendships and living life on her own terms.
Special thank you to the Staff and residents, especially the Health Care Center at Glen Arden for her wonderful care and their support and relationship that meant so much to her and her family.
A Memorial Service and celebration of Marjorie's life will be Saturday, May 11 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at Glen Arden Retirement Center, 214 Harriman Drive, Goshen, NY.
