Obituary of Frederick W. Nowak

Frederick W. Nowak, 73, of Middletown died Monday, June 10, 2013 at home. Fred was born October 15, 1939 in Bronx, NY, the son of Walter and Justine (Howe) Nowak. He was the husband of Sharon (Howell) Nowak. He served in the U.S. Navy, was an Accountant and Financial Planner at FW Nowak and Associates, Goshen, NY, a member and former President and Secretary of the Cataract Engine and Hose Co., Financial Secretary for the Goshen Fire District, former member of the Goshen Masonic Lodge, member of the Board of Directors for Sarah Wells Girl Scouts, former Chair of the Village Zoning Board Appeals and a member of the Board of Appeals in the Village of Goshen. He is survived by his devoted wife, Sharon H. Nowak at home; daughters, Linda C. Neidig and husband Chris of Matamoras, PA and Karen E. Brock and husband Drew of Goshen; stepson, Ryan M. Osborne and wife Kristina of New Windsor; sister, Justine Lepre and husband Mauro of Monroe Township, NJ; 3 grandsons, Jake, Andrew, and Austin; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, June 13 from 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY, with a Fireman's Service at 7:30 pm and the Funeral Service with the Reverend David Kingsley immediately following. Burial will be private.
