Obituary of Edward Peter Dexter

EDWARD P. DEXTER Panama City Beach, Florida Formerly of Goshen, NY Edward P. Dexter, 74, formerly of Goshen, NY, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2013, at his residence. Edward served in the United States Coast Guard and retired from the New York City Police Department after 20 years of service. He also worked as a Federal Marshall for 10 years. He was a member of the Patrolmen's Benevolent Association of the City of New York and was a member of St. Bernadette's Catholic Church. Edward was a lifetime member of the Blind Veterans Association. Edward is survived by his wife of 53 years, Elba M. Dexter; 2 children, Debra Dexter and Edward Dexter, daughter in law Gina Dexter; and 2 grandchildren, Derek Dexter and Taylor Dexter. The family will receive friends and visitors at the Donovan Funeral Home, 82 South Church Street, Goshen NY on Wed, July 10, 2013 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm with the Funeral Service at 3:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Goshen, NY.
