Obituary of Rita DeAngelis

Rita DeAngelis, 90, of Montgomery, NY, formerly of Goshen, died Friday, July 19, 2013 at home. Rita was born November 22, 1922 in Bronx, NY, the daughter of Pioter and Sophie (Grepowitz) Waroski. She was the widow of Joseph C. DeAngelis. She retired from New York Life Insurance, New York, NY as a Secretary. Rita and Joseph were very active in the Goshen Senior Citizens during the 1990's. Family statement: "Mom was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and we will deeply miss her." She is survived by her children, Valerie Moore and husband Ronald of Huntington, WV, Donna Thompson and husband Gary of Pine Bush, NY and Gregory DeAngelis of Montgomery, NY; 8 grandchildren, Donald, William, Joseph, Gregory, Melissa, Derek, Nicholas and Vincent; and 6 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, Joseph and daughter, Claudia Domenici. Visitation will be Monday, July 22 from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 23 at St. John The Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Ave, Goshen, NY. Burial will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Nanuet.
