Helen Crist Helen Van Sickle Crist, of Campbell Hall, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at home. She was 84. Helen, daughter of Hilton and Minnie Van Sickle, was born on April 22, 1929 in Ridgebury, NY. She graduated as valedictorian of Washingtonville High School in 1947 and became a bank teller working for Chester National Bank in both Washingtonville and Vails Gate. She later became the manager of the Campbell Hall office of Key Bank. She ended her fifty-year career working at the Board of Elections office in Goshen. She is survived by her husband Carl L. Crist; her daughter Sue Ellen Samuelson and her husband Robert also of Campbell Hall; her sister Nancy Weir and her husband Art of Washingtonville; her grandson Jay Samuelson and his wife Jane of Montgomery and her granddaughter Dana Brookshire and her husband Jeff of Lewisville, NC; her great grandchildren Sarah Samuelson, Addison Brookshire and Ryan Brookshire as well as several nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by four brothers Hilton, Ken, Donald and Allen and two sisters Doris and Betty. There will be no visitation. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550. Arrangements are being made by the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc. Goshen, NY.
