Obituary of Elena E. Kopec

Elena E. Kopec, 90, of Campbell Hall, died peacefully with her family on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at her youngest son's home in Campbell Hall. Elena was born September 13, 1923 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the daughter of Emil and Emelia (Riech) Lechner. She came to the United States at the age of 5. She lived 50 years in Midland Park, NJ. Elena was a Ward Clerk at Bergen Pines in Bergen County, New Jersey. She was the widow of Joseph Kopec. She is survived by her children, Joseph Emil, Christine, David and Jody; grandchildren, Joseph Louis, Jennifer, Jessica, Derrick, Tara, Danny, Amy, Jenny, and Matthew; and great grandchildren, Joseph Daniel and Lillian. Visitation will be Thursday, April 24 from 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY, with the Funeral Service to be held at 7:30 pm. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Elena's name to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.
