Geraldine Garrison, 84, of Goshen, died Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Valley View Nursing & Rehabilitation, in Goshen, NY. Geraldine was born September 2, 1930 in Monroe, NY, the daughter of Thompson and Marie (Todt) Welling. She attended local schools in Monroe, NY and was a graduate of Pennsylvania State University. Geraldine was employed for 30 years by Orange County Department of Social Services, as a Senior Caseworker-doing foster and adoptive home study for child welfare services. She was a Member and Elder in the First Presbyterian Church and active in many church activities. She was an avid bridge player and loved to travel. She is survived by Mary Jay and William Letvenko, Theodore and Regina Todt, numerous cousins and George and Nancy Fasic, lifelong friends. A private family Graveside Service and Burial will be held on Monday, November 24, 2014 at Monroe Cemetery, Monroe, NY. For family and friends a Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, November 24 at the First Presbyterian Church, Park Place, Goshen, NY. Donations in Gerry's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, Hudson Valley Chapter, 2 Jefferson Plaza, Suite 203, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601, would be greatly appreciated by her family.
