Obituary of Alfred W. Lee

Alfred W. Lee, 83, of Greenville, died Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY. Alfred was born February 2, 1931 in Bronx, NY, the son of Fred and Elizabeth Morton Lee. He was predeceased by his wife, Nancy Ann Johnson on December 6, 2009. Alfred moved to and grew up in Middlefield, NY, he graduated 1950 from Cooperstown Central High School, and graduated from Oswego State College. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He retired as a Industrial Arts Teacher from Otisville Union Free School and Minisink Valley Central School. He also taught Driver's Education. He is survived by his son, Scott W. Lee of Greenville, NY; and daughter, Heather L. Lee of Greenville; brother, Fred Lee and wife Sylvia of St. Johnsville, NY; sister, Ruth Snyder and husband John of Cherry Valley, NY; brother-in-law, Carl J. Johnson, Jr. and wife Elfriede of Goshen; sisters-in-law, Joan DeGeorge and husband Frank, Gloria Lupinski and husband Joseph all of Goshen, and Karen Underwood and husband Thomas of Highland Falls, NY and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife, Nancy; brother, John Albert Morton, and nephews, Mark Lee and Frank W. DeGeorge. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 14 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the First Presbyterian Church of Goshen, 33 Park Pl., Goshen, NY with the Reverend David Kingsley officiating. Burial will follow in Wallkill Cemetery, Middletown, NY. Memorial donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Goshen, 33 Park Place, Goshen, NY 10924.
