Milly - How we miss you so! It is as I write this that I still cannot believe you are gone.
I won't hear your stories and jokes - most of all your laugh. I won't sit by you at the XP kids' "carnival" passing out watermelon...
My girls remember you deftly pulling long splinters out of their feet from our pool deck! We remember the family swims at our pool, Girl Scouts, 4-H, CERT, and the almost two decades of the country Festival as our kids grew up together.
We remember the HCRC library board and creating it's kids programs, the annual book sales and story times when the kids were small. Hill Hold, the Farmer's Museum Tractor Pulls, and all the wonderful memories...Sitting in your kitchen over tea, trying to fix a computer glitch and studying for CERT exams! Everyone had a warm fuzzy part of you - you loved and cared for your family - Don, Tracy and Mary... your fantastic garden and cooking - how i wished I paid attention to your canning and preserving! People were drawn to you through your warmth and positive outlook, even when you may have been cross now and then yourself (which we rarely saw). And you loved your friends dearly...with all your heart. You adored your long-awaited grand-baby, Hailey.
You were one of the first neighbors I met when I moved to Campbell Hall just 33 years ago and became one of my closest friends. We are all at a loss how suddenly you are gone - how fragile life is, and how blessed we are to have known you!
It leaves a big hole in our community fabric. Until we meet again, may you rest in peace, dear friend!

Millie and I worked together for more than a few yrs. at AHRC & I was in disbelief when I learned of this news. My first thought was, What will CH do without its "MAYOR"? That was a NN I gave her and she lived up to very well. Millie had a great sense of humor & I will always remember our "office chats"....God Bless her family at this difficult time, but remember her always with a smile and laugh; live in her spirit...

I was greatly saddened to hear of Milly's unexpected death. I got to know her at line dance classes. She was the first one to make me feel welcome and always had a cheery disposition. Pictures of her grandchild were always at the ready to share. She will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends as they mourn her passing. May God be a comfort and give you peace.
With sincerest sympathy,
Doris Martine

As mentioned in Millie's obituary, she was a great story teller and the life of the party. Those are the memories of Millie I shall remember. She made you laugh and she made you cry. What a great lady and a tremendous loss to those who knew and loved her. God has certainly taken home an "Angel" of a person.
