Obituary of Gregory Holowka

Gregory Holowka, 85, of Goshen, NY, formerly of Parma, Ohio passed away Monday, July 13, 2015 peacefully at home. Gregory was born in Verbiv, Pidhayetczkiy Povid, Ukraine on October 5, 1929.
Gregory primarily worked in the machinists trade as a tool and die maker, for Cleveland Metal Products and later at his own company, B & H Tool & Die Company.
He was a very active member of the Ukrainian American Youth Association and the Organization for Defense of Four Freedoms for Ukraine in both Ohio and New York, serving on the UAYA National Executive Board for many years. He was also an active member of the United Ukrainian Organizations of Ohio.
He was a member of St. Andrew's Ukrainian Catholic Church in Parma, Ohio, and St. Andrew's Ukrainian Catholic Church in Campbell Hall, NY.
Gregory is survived by his wife of 65 years, Rosalie Holowka at home; his daughter Julie Prymak, son-in-law, Myron Prymak, and granddaughter Tania Prymak at home; and his daughter Olia Palmer, and son-in-law William Palmer of Houston, Texas. He leaves behind his furry friends Patton and Anna who loved him dearly.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 15, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm with a Parastas/Memorial Service at 7:00 pm, at the Donovan Funeral Home, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY, 10924.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at St. Andrew's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 141 Sarah Wells Trail, Campbell Hall, NY 10916.
Burial will follow at Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery.
