Helen Kirms entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 18, 2007. She was 77. Helen was born in Bronx, NY on March 10, 1930, the daughter of Max and Amelia Wakoluk. On October 5, 1957, Helen married Robert H. Kirms who passed away on May 15, 2003. Together they raised four children. Helen remained a homemaker her entire life, steadfastly devoted to her husband and their children. Helen is survived by her brother, Donald Wakoluk of Amherst, MA and predeceased by her brothers, Walter and Nicholas Wakoluk. Her surviving children are: Victoria DeGroat of Plattekill, Jeffrey Trombetta of Montgomery, Robert Kirms and his wife Marie of Westtown, and Mary Heddy and her husband Brian of Gloversville, NY. Surviving grandchildren are: Jason DeGroat; Melissa, Christine and Eric Heddy; and Lauren and Logan Kirms. Helen had one great grandchild, Deziah Helena DeGroat. Visitation hours will be held at the Donovan Funeral Home, 82 South Church St. Goshen, NY on Wednesday, Aug 22, 2007 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Funeral Services will be at the Donovan Funeral Home on Thursday, Aug 23, 2007 at 10:00 AM. Contributions can be made on Helens name to; St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905 Arrangements under the direction of the Donovan Funeral Home, Goshen.
