Marion T. Butler,81, of Newburgh, NY died Monday, November 12, 2007 at Kaplan Family Hospice Residence, Newburgh, NY. Marion was born December 11, 1925 at Ogdensburg, NY the daughter of Roland and Melvina (Sargent) Fritz. Mrs. Butler was an accomplished jazz singer from her years in High School till 2000. She appeared in many night clubs and restaurants in New Jersey. She also sang in the USO in Fort Drum, NY. She retired from Melnor Industries, Garfield, NY as a Receptionist. She is survived by her son Kevin Provost of Newburgh, NY; 3 daughters, Renee Hunter and husband Bill of Sebastian, FL, Dana Provost-Gorr and husband Frank Capson of Campbell Hall, NY, and Kelly Cotter and husband Neil of Highland, NY; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, November 15, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, 82 South Church St., Goshen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, November 16, 2007 at 10:00 am at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Murray Ave, Goshen. Burial will follow in Wallkill Cemetery, Middletown, NY.
