Obituary of Frances A. McGarry

Frances A. McGarry, age 86, of Goshen entered into rest Monday, January 14, 2008 at Orange Regional Medical Center-Arden Hill Campus, Goshen. Frances was born December 9, 1921 in New York, NY the daughter of Alexander and Caroline (Goddard) Miskus. She was the widow of William F. McGarry. She was employed by Gimbel's Department Store as a Sales Associate. We will miss you and your presence will always be in our hearts. We will remember you as a devoted and generous mother, grandmother and great grandmother. We will feel your presence especially during family gatherings. She is survived by her daughters, Brynne Donovan and husband Michael of Goshen and Carole Stellwag of Elmont, NY; 6 grandchildren, Erik, Eileen, Kate and Michael Donovan and Christopher and Ronald Stellwag; 2 great grandchildren Kevin and Nicole DesJardins; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Paul A. McGarry and brothers, Alexander and David Miskus Visitation will be Friday, January 18, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, 82 South Church St., Goshen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, January 19, 2008 at 9:00 am at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Murray Avenue, Goshen. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla.
