Darlene Susan Barnes, 52, Goshen entered into rest Thursday, January 31, 2008 at Kaplan Family Hospice Residence, Newburgh, NY. Darlene was born July 17, 1955 in Tuxedo, NY the daughter of Franklin Payne Sr. and Gertrude (Kyles) Payne. She was married to Tim Barnes. Darlene was a loving and devoted wife and a great mother and grandmother. She was loved by her 3 older brothers and her younger brother. Darlene enjoyed serving the Goshen Community at Steves Deli. She cared more about others than herself. She was a kind and loving person. Darlene will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband: Tim Barnes; 3 sons, John Champlain, Robert Champlain and Jimmy Champlain; 2 step daughters, Tanya Barnes and Crystal Burch; 4 brothers, Mike Conklin, Franklin Payne, Philip Payne and Steve Conklin; 4 grandchildren Cheyenne Champlain, Robert Champlain Jr., Hanna Gibbons, and Jordan Champlain; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday, February 4, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, 82 South Church St., Goshen. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home with Reverend David Kingsley officiating. Burial will follow in Wallkill Cemetery, Middletown.
