My mother shared the notice of Mr. Vaughan's death with me this past weekend. My sincere condolences to all of his family. Some of my fondest memories from my High School days are playing music in the orchestra for the high school musicals. Mr. Vaughan's voice on the trumpet was always a clear as a bell with such beautiful phrasing and tone, he inspired all of us to play better... and what a great guy share a laugh with. What a great person we are fortunate to have known.

Our condolences go out to the Vaughn Family.
When we moved to Wolcott in 1972, Harry was the owner of our neighborhood pharmacy.
While always giving quality service, both he and Joe were also friends to all patrons.
There was always coffee and on for employees, patrons and friends. Many of us would add to the and around the holidays.
My children have fond memories of saving their allowences and walking to Vaughn's to purchase mother and father's day gifts.
Buddy was more than our local pharmacy owner;he was a friend to his customers and their families.
We wished him well when he retired and are saddened to hear of his passing.
Our thouthts and prayers are with his family.

I remember getting excited to go to the pharmacy on Beach Rd. I use to look at all the beautiful trinkets and the cards. Buddy was always there with a nice smile and was so friendly and kind .I believe the assistant who worked for him was Polly she was so sweet. Every time I had a birthday party to go to my mom brought to vaughans to pick out a card and present.Vaughans pharmacy and Buddy are a lost breed.I was so glad to have been able to have a pharmacy like that in my life as a young child. god bless.

I am very saddened to hear of the passing of our good friend and mentor, "Mr. Vaughan". That's what I always called him - even 40+ years after first meeting him. It was a sign of respect. Few people in the Town of Wolcott did more for others, touched more lives, or stimulated more good Sunday morning conversation over a cup of coffee at Vaughan's Pharmacy, than Mr. Vaughan. I had the privilege to get the coveted job of cleking at Vaughan's Pharmacy during Junior and Senior year of high school, 1966 and 1967. I have no question or doubt that the experience of working for Mr. Vaughan did more to influence the course of my life than anyone except my parents. And I am sure I am only one of many who would say this. My hearfelt sympathies to all of Mr. Vaughan's family. Please know of my appreciation for all that he did for me, things which I treasure even now some 40 years later. He was a wonderful man, a loving father and husband, a gifted pharmacist, a great friend and mentor - and he could play the trumpet pretty well too!
