Francis "Frank" A. Remling entered into rest on Friday, August 28, 2015 in Charleston, SC. Frank was a fifteen year resident of Warwick, before moving to South Carolina in 2014.
Born on November 8, 1931 in Tarrytown, NY, he was the son of the late Frank and Agnes Remling.
He will be remembered mostly for his tremendous love of his wife Joan, who predeceased him in 2011. Frank was a devoted father and grandfather, lifelong Catholic, and U.S. Navy veteran.
He is survived by his three children: Richard Remling and his wife, Nancy of Syracuse, NY; Elaine Gliddi and her husband, Nils of Hoboken, NJ; Karen Conace, her husband, Michael, and grandchildren, Lia and Juliana of Charleston, SC; a sister Regina, and brother Robert; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, John.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 3 from 10:30 - 11:30 am at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY.
A Graveside Service and Burial with Military Honors will be in Orange County Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen, NY.
Memorial donations may be sent to Hospice of Charleston or a charity of your choice.
