My good memories of my Aunt Joanie are countless. A girl who came from nothing to go on to live like a princess. When I think of the song "When Irish Eyes are Smiling" her picture appears. I will never forget her kindness, compassion and sense of humor. My fondest memory is listening together to the debut of the song "Let It Be" by The Beatles on 77 WABC AM radio because it was so important to me. Although I did not know her in later years, my childhood memories hold indelible positive marks that play out in my life today. I'm sure she's teaching someone how to dance like Tina Turner somewhere in the heavens. She is already missed terribly.

Dear Uncle Paul and Family, Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. My memories of Aunt Joanie always bring a smile to my face. Whether it was a holiday spent at the Moriarty's house, watching my aunts all dance on the dining room table, or at the Rockaway "villa" when grandpa would let the blue claw crabs run wild while his girls jumped up on the furniture, Aunt Joanie was always in the middle of it, her smile and laughter filling the room.
They say we are judged by what we leave behind, rather than what we have accumulated. Aunt Joan and Uncle Paul created a family that will cherish her every memory, that will provide comfort to each other over their loss and who will rejoice in the life she has led. Love, Jimmy

Joannie ~ I want you to know that Peggy, even in the darkness of her world, will be hugging you eternally, and whispering in your ear, "even though many things change, love remains the same". I will miss the many times when you'd be trying to control your laughter while talking. You will be missed terribly by Savay and Joe, Anthony and Pat and Maureen, and if Uncle Freddie was with us, he would
still treat you like a First
Lady.

Through the years ~~ so many good times ~~ so many happy family gatherings ~~ laughter, humor, wit ~~ refreshingly interesting and interestingly refreshing conversations ~~ recalling precious scenarios and treasured memories of family bygone days. Although personal circumstances deprived us of continued frequency of all this through the years, I shall clutch those years close to my heart, and store them in the deep recesses of my mind.
