I'm sorry about Bob's passing. And so sorry about missing the service. He was so kind to me over the years. He would come and see me every so offen just to see how I was doing. I would beep my horn when I would pass his house. He was a hard worker. Always keeping busy. I only know his son Tom who has been very nice to me. Dear Jones Family,
I am so sorry to hear that Mr. Jones has passed. I always enjoyed talking with him when he stopped at Arden Hill Hospital during his rounds. It was always a pleasure for sure. He did so much for Goshen. You must be proud. I will always remember him.

Mr. J was one of the best, bar none....Family first, Fire Dept. second, sometimes these collided, as all Volunteer's know. First and foremost he was a devout Husband and Father. He, and Mrs. J, raised five great kids and put them on the right path. Mr. J was, and is still, a pillar of our community (even with his passing), which no one can deny and he will be, sorely missed. Personally, he was a great mentor to me and, sometimes, a second father,
Just one further note from an unknown author I would like to share.....
Fireman never die,they just burn FOREVER in the hearts of those they helped!.
Thanks to the GFD for all they are doing! For those that may not know the volunteer system, simply put - they Don't get paid but will be there for you and your family 24/7.

I had the honor of knowing Chief Jones for close to 40 Years as a fellow Firefighter, Fire Chief and as Members of the Orange County Fire Chiefs Association. Chief Jones was a Class Act, I will miss talking with him at the monthly meetings and at every Fire Event that he attended, and he didn't miss many.
Rest Easy Chief......You Tour is Complete....We will Take It From Here.
