We are so sorry for your loss. Bill was a great advocate for Meals on Wheels, and Chris was very helpful as his companion. We share in your sorrow. God bless your family.

Chris & Family – On behalf of Bill's GE Water family, my deepest condolences and sympathies.
Bill was a tremendous team player…and we all loved working with him [and for him on most days!]. He taught many of us a ton about doing things the right way for our customers and employees. Short cuts were never an option…and “his word” was gold for everyone he ever connected with. He was as honorable as they come and, in spite of his seriousness to always get the job done, his softness and sense of humor were also always used at just the right times for great impact.
I regret not being able to play the round of golf that Bill and I have been talking about for the last 3 years…but at least I could always count on the Christmas letters to get a few highlights and updates about the Gates Family latest adventures.
My family was at St Marys Church in Crown Point for mass last weekend…and they dedicated the 10:30AM mass in Bill’s honor. I looked around after they mentioned Bill’s name from the lectern and there were the normal “not that Bill Gates” utterings. I smiled as I thought of how many times Bill used that line himself for icebreakers…and as I pen this note now, I am smiling again thinking “nope, not that Bill Gates, but the REAL Bill Gates”.
We will keep you all in our prayers.
God Bless.
Kris & Rhonda Zambo and the entire GE Water Team

Sincerest condolences to Chris, Sarah, and Margaret. Bill's brothers Joe and Johnny, his sister Patty, and their families. Bill was a friend from the first day I met him. Always with a quick smile. Never "ticked off" at a friend. We got our driver's licenses. We went places. We got into adventures together. So many good times. My father would ask "what are you knuckleheads up to now?". It was good to be a knucklehead with Bill. Bill always stayed in touch over the years after school. Vacations, weddings, visits back and forth. No truer friend than Bill. He touched so many. Always with a positive attitude. Always a phone call away when you needed someone to talk to. Always with that smile when you got together again. A smile that will never leave us as Bill will never leave us. Thank you for being part of our lives Bill, John & Lynne Delesky

My condolences to Chris and the whole family. Bill was a friend who I will never forget. He was the best! From our first trip to the Med to our last cruise to the Caribbean we always had a good time together. And never will I forget our card games on the boat on the Rhine when we all got drenched while playing cards. And the “Sticks” games from just 2 weeks ago. I will miss him and my heart breaks for all of you. Just always remember he was so happy on his last day!

I knew Bill to be a kind and loving man to his lovely wife Chris, his two beautiful daughter’s Sarah and Margaret, his son-in-law Dan and his sweet granddaughter, Hayden. Bill always had time to talk and give you his full attention. He always had a kind word to share and was very helpful too. I will miss sharing our grand parenting of our beautiful granddaughter Hayden with you. You were a wonderful example of how to live a life of blessing others with your presence. You are so missed. Rest in heaven with God, our blessed Father.

My deepest sympathy goes out out Chris and the girls. We've all lost a wonderful Man, Husband, Father, Grandpa, and Friend. We've only known Bill a few years, but were his next door neighbors in Trilogy, and were excited to see him and Chris embrace this next phase of their lives. Bill was such an asset to the Trilogy community, becoming involved in all aspects of it. He never hesitated to step in and provide any services or help that he felt would be a benefit...not only to Trilogy, but to his Church, neighboring community, and all who knew him. His time spent here was too short-lived, and he will be missed by so many.
Chris, Sarah, and Margaret, please know you're in our thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time.
All Our Love,
Carla and Chris
