I first worked with Ed when I was a young trooper stationed at the "pre-Troop F" SP Middletown barracks. He was a stellar example of the senior members whom we recruits admired and tried to emulate.
Ed's obituary provides an outstanding description of the ethos of the New York State Police.
Rest in peace.
Dan Scribner, NYSP (Ret.)

Ed and I became friends the first time we met in the Monroe Barracks. We commuted to NYC for a few years and he told me many stories of his years on the NYSP. I cannot count all the favors he did for me. Ed had a great sense of humor and stated when he stopped commuting with me his hair started coming back. RIP Ed

I worked with Ed a good many years at the West Point Mint -
I loved to stop in his office and talk - plus in those days his office was always designated the smoking lounge -
Those were the days….
Rest in Peace Ed -
Sincerely Rita Jeleniewicz
