I've many found memories of this wonderful woman whom I called "Gram"! Kind, gentle and loving… and a wonderful cook too! I still make her famous stuffed artichokes and whenever I prepare them, I always think of her and that day in her kitchen when I tasted them for the very first time ~ YUM!
I recall the many times when she wanted her hair cut and/or permed … always wanting to look her best, and my mom would oblige and make her “beautiful”! She loved her nails to be painted too (why stop at the hair right:o)and when I saw her on the 8th of May I was tickled when I saw them polished, to that very day, a pretty shade of pink! Oh, and I almost forgot, in the hospital... she even had her lipstick with her, (not one tube, but two ) in the drawer of her bed side table ~ what a classy woman our Gram was! So I think the sweetest, and truest, thing I can say when describing the Gram I knew is to simply say she was beautiful … both inside and out!
May she rest in peace knowing she touched so many lives, and may those who knew and loved her find comfort in the days ahead while celebrating her life and recalling such found memories! Amen.
