Philip A. Pines Middletown, NY Philip A. Pines, 82, of Middletown, NY died peacefully at home with his family on Wednesday, December 17, 2008. Philip was born May 3, 1926 in Goshen, NY the son of the late Philip E. Pines and the late Jennie S. (Brown) Pines. He served in the Army Air Corps from 1944 to 1946 during World War II and was Museum Director at the Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame in Goshen, NY for 43 years, beginning as a Graphic Designer in 1951. Phil was a versatile talent-an inspirational artist, writer, speaker, and a jokester, too. Most of all he was a steadfast and loving husband, father and loyal friend. Philip is survived by his wife of 31 years Jane S. Pines at home; daughters, Julia Pines Kulihin and husband Victor, Laura Pines Stahl and husband Davis and Jennie E. Pines; step sons, David M. Prosser and Stephen R. Prosser; 8 grandchildren, Sarah and Andrew Kulihin, Zoe and Julia Stahl, Matthew, Erin, Madelyn and Dorothy Prosser. He was predeceased by his first wife, Francis Stephenson Pines. The Memorial Services will be held January 10, 2009 at 2:00 pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Goshen, NY following with the Burial in Chester Cemetery, Chester, NY.
