Lawrence A. Mitchell, Sr. Goshen, NY Lawrence A. Mitchell, Sr. age 82, of Goshen died Thursday, March 15, 2007 at Orange Regional Medical Center-Arden Hill Campus, Goshen. Mr. Mitchell was born February 27, 1925 in Middletown, NY, the son of the late Laurence B.and Eleanor Minnie (McCollough) Mitchell. He was married to Anne T. Malanowski Mitchell. He served during WW II and the Korean War in the Maritime Service as a Lt. jg and in the Army as a First Sergeant. He ran on the Democratic Party with Joseph Donovan and Thomas Cullen, Jr. in 1952 He was employed by Chester Litho, Chester, NY as a Lithographer, until he started at Orange-Ulster BOCES in 1984 as a para-educator and was still employed there at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife: Anne T.(Malanowski) Mitchell at home, two daughters, Anne Patricia Kelly and her husband Michael of Horseheads, NY; Pricilla Powell and her husband William of Middletown; brother, Robert Mitchell of Tanglewood, MA; grandchildren, Jessica Anne Kelly, Patrick and McKenzie Powell; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a son, Lawrence A. Mitchell, Jr. Calling hours will be Sunday, Mar. 18, 2007 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, 82 South Church St, Goshen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 AM at St. John The Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Ave, Goshen. Burial will be at a later date in St. Johns Cemetery. Contributions in Lawrences name can be made to a charity of ones choice. Arrangements under the direction of the Donovan Funeral Home, Goshen.
